Hi, this post is a little bit late. Made the sawblade more visible in the sawmill. Added rope to the elevator, so no more floaty elevator. Tiled the cookie that casts the shadows in the jungle. Set up different cameras and lighting for the jungle and island. Also I made the trailer, which took up a lot of my time. And here are some of the screenshots! Looking out for beetles! .

My blog for game design related work. This week has gone primarily towards playtesting the game for the upcoming Gotland Game Conference. We felt we had nailed down everythign essential to the experience and my job was to experiment with different settings including how much health and stamina the player has, how far they can roll and how high they can jump, etc. Our new project is called Spark, and is abou.
We have Switched around some thing in the UI and added a build order to make sure that players build what we want them to. At least to some extent, we want players to build buildings vital to their progression in an as linear fashion as possible to make sure that players experience what we want them to when we want them to. This has been the focus for the last week.
I m writing this post on the day before the beta. There has been a lot to do these last few weeks. I ve mainly been working on the introductory screen and the failure screen. The intro screen will show the player the basic back story and objective of the game. We wanted to show this using only pictures. Although I dont tell the story in detail, I make it simple for children to follow along as they wont have to read a lot of text to get it. Thats it for this week.
