From my four years experience of QA in financial organisations it is evident that QA is misunderstood and is usually considered as an after thought or in most cases not thought about at all. QA and DEV teams should strive for the same goal, that goal being to create a quality product, getting emloyees of the organisation involved as well really helps in getting the message across.
