Last Thursday, I graduated from Temple University with a degree in strategic communications and a desire for change. While most of my friends have been celebrating the end of their college lives, I have been preparing for a move to a city 3,000 miles away from home. Of an US Airways flig.

Well, moms I did it! This mommy has finally finished college and so can you! So, here I am. This past semester was the most challenging one yet, still, I completed it with a 4. 0 and have received the honor of Magna Cum Laude. The graduation ceremony is a few months away, but I am totally content to just inhale deeply, rest my eyes and smile. Manage to walk my dog three times a day.

Fall has arrived, the world is growing colder and there is a scent of death in the air. I love this time of year, the beauty and slight chill. There is a magic in the dying of all around you, even more so with the fact that you know all will come to life again in the spring.

Sunday, August 16, 2015. As many of you may know, our son, Noah James Haskovec. Was born to us on June 13, 2015 following a week-long stay in the hospital. We spent the next twelve days with him in the NICU at the hospital before he passed away on June 25. Documents his short but meaningful life with us here on earth.
