The true BEFORE picture is below - we had first moved into the house. Note the original drapery, window trim and flooring in this picture. Below is a shot of all the stained wood trim in the house .
We were pretty miserable for the front half of our first week home. I am definitely grateful that that tired fog is lifting. My birthday babe, my greatest birthday gift, has brought us moments of joy, frustration, and grief.

Who is up for a casual little in-the-middle-of-the-suburbs hike? Grana kept Max at our house and Aunt Anna met us to bring Papa and Julius and pick up Elizabeth for a little playtime one-on-one. Anna definitely does better with limited kid responsibilities. One is good! Totally cool history and an easy walk for our four and five year olds in tow.

From there we went to the UPS store to overnight all of the paperwork, including the stuff that needed to go straight to Colorado, that was going to be sent from Houston after it was authenticated there. At the UPS store, the manager working could tell that I was a nervous wreck about something and we explained how important the papers were that we were about to send out! So much more.
