Two assaults worth nothing illustrate how the media- newspaper in particular- not only use the myth of the black male rapist but also continue to bias crime repots when the offenders in African American and the victim is white. Moreover, a Hispanic woman was also raped and killed that day, yet her case recieved little coverage. In the Central Peark rape case, the offenders were either African American or Hispanic; their victim was white. Both the offenders and the vict.
