Last week I continued to work on Flea Market Souvenir and finished all the cross stitch,. Now I need to sew the linen pieces together and add the specialty stitches. Last saturday I crocheted this owlhat for my friends 2 months old son. And here is that sweet boy, I finally got the chance to hold him, but they live in Denmark and are visiting Iceland over easter. Funi, my dog, trying to steal the attention from my stitching.

What is missing is the wall into the guest WC and the wall between the entrance and the kitchen. From the entrance you walk into a small hall, to the left is the stair up to the second floor. Next to the stairs is the living room, there is a nice little corner ideal for our piano.

Tuesday, March 12, 2013. I have had a fairly decent stitching month for me, so I added a nice pile of thread bits to my TUSAL bottle. I now have as much as I did for the whole year in 2012 which was not a productive stitching year, so things are progressing well. Lately I have been stitching mostly on the Blue Ribbon Designs Mystery Sampler, Blue Jeans and Daisies. And here is an update. Monday, March 4, 2013.

I used a natural 28count linen with the DMC threads that the pattern advised. I love the happy spring feel to this charming design. I tried a new finish with some lace trim and am quite pleased with how it has turned out. This is the front with the smaller stitched piece finished separately and trimmed with the lace then stitched on to the larger pinkeep. The side view showing ric rac trim.
