Life in Newark Ohio Today. Another favorite thing to do is to go fishing or swimming in one of our many spots on the river. Personally spent many nights on the rivers and lakes fishing and spending time with friends and family. There is not a place more peaceful to me than sitting on a riverbank at sunset with a campfire and a couple of fishing poles in the water and the company of a few good friends.
