Learning one stitch at a time. Today I put up my work for the formative assessment and end of year exhibition. I really liked being able to show my work at the end of the year. It also feels like preparation for next year! Here is my space, I have added three new designs to my collection which I actually prefer a lot more to my older designs.
Favourite Exhibitors at Art in Clay 2016. When I wrote the previous post I had all intentions to write this one right the day after. However the days at Bridge pottery are busy and I felt so inspired from all the great work I saw in Hatfield that I spent every evening in the studio. I want to introduce three amazing female Potters who I met last Weekend. Ever since seeing their stalls images of their work returned to my inner eye.
Currently studying Fine Art at Cardiff Metropolitan University. Through experimentation with photography, collage and plaster, I am learning to feel confident with my figure and embracing it instead of hiding it. 3 Experimentation with Colour and Stitch.

I noticed that the web site stated " These pieces take photographs and manipulate them with stitch." They also stated " I am interested in using stitch and this would be a better way of using freehand sewing in my work. If I want to manipulate imagery it will be a good way to get back into photography, probably film. Dont those holes between the inside and outside make you feel so uncomfortable? June 16, 2015.
