I noticed that the web site stated " We designed our carnival masks this week and the accompanying headdresses." They also stated " Children needed to incorporate quilting or batik into their design after learning these techniques last week. After designing, the class worked out the total cost of materials for their mask but were not within budget! Children then painted their masks, in line with their design. Our very own Amazon Rainforest! We have had a very creative week this week in Mars Class, making our very own Amazon Rainforest in Art. We started the week by learning about the different layers of the rainforest in Geography in order to help us accurately create our own Henri Rousseau inspired artwork. Fun in year 1! What an amazing year! Well I cannot believe this is our last blog post for year one! I have been extremely lucky and honoured to teach an amazing bunch of children for the past two years. It is astonishing what they have all achieved!
