Join us on our journey across the world and over the moon to the Philippines to adopt our first child. We began this process in October 2007, and eagerly await our turn to become a forever family! We began the process to adopt a child from the Philippines in January 2007 and received ICAB approval in May 2008. On October 29, 2010 we were matched with our son Rafael and he joined our family on February 20, 2011! Now we are home and are enjoying the adventures of parenting! Monday, November 12, 2012. Rafael is now three! Friday, September 14, 2012. We have had such a great summer! The weather has been amazing and Rafael has loved all the beach days. I hate for it all to end! .

This week we celebrated 5 years with JM! We stole the idea of Brother Sister Day from my former colleague Carita, who each year celebrates that day with her brother who was adopted at a young age. I can only hope the same for our kids.
