Welcome and thanks for taking the time to visit my blog on my summer trip Helsinki, Finland. I am a graduate student at the Catholic University of America working on my Masters in Architecture and this study abroad trip is in conjunction with students and professors from the University of Tennesse in Knoxville. I will also be posting pictures and updates as frequently as I can so be sure to check in from time to time.

Europe is a nice place to visit. But home is much, much better. Congrats on the drawings model, guys, we did it. This past Saturday I wandered. I failed, but ended up at the Helsinki Day festival. A complete accident, but totally rad.

Sketches, photographs, and writings. An opportunity arises to integrate the Finnish world within and consequently to leave a part of oneself with the Finnish culture. A passage I wrote in my sketchbook before leaving for Finland. I look back and see what a strong statement I made.
