Reflections of living by the sea in Dorset. Wednesday, 12 August 2015. We visited Houghton Lodge Gardens. Near Stockbridge in Hampshire with my brother and his Jack Russell dog called Emma. He had visited this garden once before with my sister-in-law who thought the garden and location were so special. They had originally discovered it while searching for gardens that welcome dogs. It was such a peaceful location and the food and drink .

And knew that I wanted to make it for the Instagram Mini Swap. I originally thought that I would needle turn appliqué it, but it was taking too long and so I turned all the edges under and then machine appliquéd it. Raw edge with Bondaweb would have been much simpler and have a similar effect. I traced the leaves with a Frixion pen on sand paper to stop them wriggling around too much.
