Feeling cheesy and mending a broken heart. Winter sun by Lady E. A new year has come. And a whole year has somehow elapsed since my urge to write was last bad enough that I did. Since, so much has happened in the world that the changes in my life feel microscopic. I still work and shout at my kids far too much.

Monday night I fell into bed, completely drained from a weekend plus a day that had left me emotionally raw and physically exhausted. Dear God, I need comfort tonight. Please let me sleep and feel loved and appreciated and safe.
