It seems like a certain mark of success to be able to say that my closest friends here in Morocco are mostly Moroccan locals, not American PCVs. I spend significantly more time with Moroccans than Americans and I feel about as well integrated into my community as I could hope.
There, I did it. I summarized my Peace Corps service in one sentence. Really though, it is impossible to sum up in one sentence. I am expected to uproot myself, like a ripe carrot ready for the harvest, finish a life here, and go back to the life that I came from. I now have two months left in.

Monday, March 26, 2012. My host family came early morning on Saturday and collected all of my things and as difficult as it was, I had to say good bye for one last time.
