Monday, May 20, 2013. We had a good amount of snow on Christmas day, that stayed long enough for us to enjoy it the next day, too. The boys had a lot of fun playing in it, as did Molly! Wednesday, May 15, 2013. It was a wonderful Christmas! Mom and Dad came back to visit us all.

The lake is held back by Gathright Dam. This massive earthen structure backs up the Jackson River for over 12 miles, forming Lake Moomaw. It is the second largest impoundment in western Virginia.
