Welcome to the Biography of A. Garden! May 25, 2009. A E Garden in his mid-50s. During his lifetime, he owned farms near Oskaloosa and ranches in South Dakota. Throughout his life, especially during World War II, he served in many capacities as a community leader. A primary intended audience for this biography is A.

The Home Place, Smith Place and The Island. The Island was the cornerstone of A. The foresight of Archie and Merrill to arrange for this purchase cannot be overestimated. Coal Creek Church and Cemetery played a large role in regard to our ancestors. It was the community church that they attended. It was the church in which their funerals were held and the cemetery in which they were buried. Our McClure and Covey ancestors lived in the neighborhood. A photo of the south side of the church.
