A large proportion of waste created in schools is food related. The Eco-champions will be collecting fruit scraps at playtime to be added to the schools compost as well as encouraging children who bring in packed lunches to use less plastic wrap in their lunchboxes.

A small group of children have started to make a butterfly cushion using felt, a needle and some wool. Busy helping prepare the letters for bienvenue. On French day we also sang French songs, said the register in French and learned a few French words to add to our vocabulary. Some very interesting soup has been prepared today.
