Samuels, Re-Inventing the Modern University. Samuels advocates for placing WAC at intellectual center in universities, emphasizing its cultural and historical elements.

Sherry Turkle edits a delightful, moving anthology that puts objects and their human relations front and center. I like this book because from a rhetorical perspective, the chapters resonate. The stories authors tell, the epigraphs Turkle chose to accompany each chapter, and the insig.

Lindquist does a great job of using many direct quotes from the patrons of the Smokehouse, and she then turns around and analyzes those quotes in the context of her argument. One major topic seemed to be the education system, with many spurning the system in favor of a more independent, personal brand of living as an individual, instead of a mass-produced high school graduate.

Response To Callahan Lecture! Now I do feel that cheating is NOT a moral way of getting through life but in order for things to go in our favor we have to what is necessary. Cheating the system comes from the lack of trust the person has in the government and when the government has lost the trust of their people all the talk of honesty and integrity goes out of the window.
