Saturday, July 27, 2013. A walk along the foreshore track. Yesterday I went for a walk around the foreshore track, somewhat altered by two large slips - evidence of the constant movement of land in this part of the world. When I go walking I always take a small pack. It leaves home empty but always returns with treasure. The foraging instinct is strong and very satisfying! Links to this post.

The site had the following in the homepage, "Get Growing New Zealand! Edible gardening, made easy and fun! Its time to." I noticed that the web site stated " Saturday in the garden; Sunday in the kitchen." They also stated " An autumn Saturday in the garden at Matakana invariably means spending Sunday in the kitchen. This weekend has been no exception. Yesterdays harvest included pears, apples, figs and a few kilo of still-green tomatoes. We also brought home Lebanese cucumbers, peppers, watercress, leeks, beetroot, carrot thinnings, lettuce, beans, a pumpkin and a couple of zucchini."
