Students will be tasked with designing an addition to their campus to handle future growth. They will be asked to build a scale model of the campus including their addition. Actual measurements will be taken by using surveying techniques and designing a tool that will assist them in making angular measurements. Students will supplement their model with details of their calculations and a proposal the location of their addition.

Project Based Learning is any learning environment in which the problem drives the learning. The problem is posed so that the students discover that they need to learn some new knowledge before they can solve the problem. Posing the problem before learning tends to motivate students. They know why they are learning the new knowledge.
