Thursday, September 10, 2015. The Shemitah comes only every 7 years. In the Bible, God instructed the Jewish people to work the land for six years and then let the land rest throughout the seventh year. This 7th year is the Shemitah year. Many in Israel continue to practice the Shemitah guidelines.

Sunday, June 11, 2006. My parents didnt want the traditional Grandparents names and opted to be called Jojo and Poppy. From birth, they made sure that my children knew them as Jojo and Poppy. Because this was what they wanted to be called, we always referred to their Grandparents as such. It stuck and that is what they are called today.
