Monday, December 5, 2016. The final project, finally! I will admit that when I opened the assignment and saw the lack of directions, it was overwhelming. After a few calming breaths, however, I was able to dive right in. Time management was an issue with finals and I felt that my maps could be more aesthetically pleasing. The information is all on there and that is the most important thing. The line could be created at low-cost.
Tuesday, December 6, 2016. Our final project was to analyze the proposed placement of a transmission line going through Manatee and Sarasota, Florida. First I made a cartographic model of the project. Then I reviewed the proposal for environmental impact, impact on home sites, impact on schools, and length of transmission line. Tuesday, November 15, 2016. We used UWF data, including the campus roads and buildings. Thursday, November 10, 2016. In this lab we learned about geocoding, address matching and network analyses. We used an Excel file to create geocoded addresses and locators.
Thursday, November 17, 2016. GIS 4043 Week 12 Georeferencing , Editing and ArcScene. The second part of the lab was an introduction to ArcScene. Which is used to create 3D scenes. Saturday, November 12, 2016. GIS 4043 Week 11 Geocoding and Model Builder. The model was used to find suitable sites for a new wastewater treatment plant site.
