Most of the area around here has burned recently leaving you exposed to the sun as well. This section is skipped by many hikers simply due to the heat. I was thankful for a breeze and a few trees that offered shade. Looking straight down to the flat land below and ahead at the beautiful Mt Shasta. She is stunning! I walked until the sun began to set to find a nice solo campsite. A beautiful day full of new views and new friends! August 12, 2015.

CDT Thru Hike 2016. Appalachian Trail Thru Hike 2014. Pacific Crest Trail Thru Hike 2015. Continental Divide Trail Thru Hike 2016. Leadore to Sula Country Store. January 12, 2017. January 4, 2017. We had another snack and water break which was necessary. The sun was shining, but the breeze was a lifesaver. We saw so many cows and a herd of over 200 sheep. I still cant get over the fact that you can see for miles in all directions! I really love this section. The last few ups were exhausting and we w.PARSED CONTENT
