A Failed Challenge, Four Successful Garments. Back in March, I think, I decided that I wanted to take part in the Dress Like Your Grandma Challenge. Organised by Tanya of Mrs Hughes, not so much for sewing something vintage, but more as a tribute to my grandma. I wanted, however, to stay true to the shape of the dress bodice and for that reason I used Simplicity 1587. It always surprises me how different garments can look, when using different fabrics.

Έπεσα τυχαία πάνω του,χρόνια πριν,ψάχνοντας για γιαπωνέζικα περιοδικά ραπτικής για ρούχα. Μαγικό! Αυτή ήταν η πρώτη μου σκέψη! Αλλόκοτα απλό αλλά μαγικό! Πώς γίνεται,απλά κουρέλια ραμμένα το ένα πάνω και δίπλα στο άλλο με μία απλή ραφή να μετατρέπονται σε κάτι τόσο μοναδικά όμορφο; ; ; Αυτό είναι κάτι που σίγουρα μόνο οι Ιάπωνες μπορούν να κάνουν. Έπρεπε να περάσουν όμως αρκετά χρόνια μέχρι να το δοκιμάσω. Φυσικά αρχίζοντας με κάτι μικρό,σαν πείραμα.
