Sunday, 5 May 2013. Diving from great heights at incredible speed, I used glass as a medium to convey this dangerous vulnerability. I thought the shadows were very interesting as they change with the angle of the light making the piece become sinister and eerier. I also wanted to show the watchful waiting aspect, how some of the birds of prey are camouflaged, and unseen.

Thursday, 17 May 2012. Transferring Decals To The Vessels. I first cut out the decals I wanted to transfer and one by one I soaked them in water. When the image is starting to slip away from the paper it is ready for transferring. Using a rubber kidney smoothy out the decal, removing any bumps and bubbles. I spread the images around the inside of the bowl in ramdon positions. Wednesday, 16 May 2012. Vessels glazed with transparent glaze and ready for decal transfers.

Tuesday, 8 May 2012. This is just latex poured on top of it. I was trying to recreate the texture of skin and perhaps the appearance. Not sure if it is entirely successful but it is rather interesting none the less. I was interested in recreating the look of stretch marks but in a very free and abstract manner. That would be rather pointless to me at the moment. It serves no purpose in the context of my project. Friday, 13 April 2012.
