Wednesday, March 25, 2009. This piece was originally done for my buddy Keith. Keith contacted me wanting a design to go on to a messenger bag. He did some research and found out that Reload Bags. One thing led to another, and we came up with the design you see above, translated to textile below.

Whenever I visit the store, I always leave feeling inspired by the items on display that the staff have made. I have purchased numerous kits from them over the years that have taught me how to make different types of beaded earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, and pendants. I stopped into the store last week to check out a few things I had seen on their blog. Employee-made blossom necklace from The Bead Monkey. During the class I made three different flowers and added a pin .

I think I might abandon this place and leave it to naturally decay and grow weeds between the cracks. I need a new space to sprawl out in, not fraught with the gravity that has accrued around the Sui Generis brand name, and disconnected from my other more public undertakings.
