Changing the world one student at a time. This week I have prepared my personal development plan to share with you. I must caution that this is a work in progress and so I am likely to refine this in the future. Careerwise I have three interests, Human Resource, Systems, and training. My plan involves gaining more experience in these areas using four initiatives.
How do you learn? June 9, 2016. In a former life, I was a scenic and lighting designer for theatrical productions. While nothing I worked on was on Broadway, the egos of the producers, directors, and the choreographers were big enough to be in a traveling circus. As the stage and lighting designer, it was my role to take the hopes and dreams of the technical team and make it come to life, visually. One such project was for a little play called A Christmas Story. The team originally understood the budget .

As technology makes advancements and further evolves in our daily lives, it also presents challenges in our learning environments. If developers use modern technology in their learning material or dispersal means, they have to keep in mind that the more complex their delivery is, the more likely the learner will have complications accessing the material. One example of modern technology causing potential problems is synchronous training.
In conclusion I believe this course will help me further my career in the instructional design field because I am able to have a deeper understanding of my own learning styles and therefore I am more aware of how to incorporate other learning styles into courses I will develop in the future.
