I have a new memory. Golden grass, in a lake bed dried with too many summers. But it was April in February, too warm to not enjoy. And a dog hopping along to see the ahead that we could so easily make out. The little streams, green with swimming grass, and slowly flowing for spring. Leaping across into the earth, still too wet with memories of where it once drowned to hold our feet firmly. How was it for you? Walking along where men made a lake.
