This site documents our Cuba Project, November-December 2009, and the travels, gatherings and events that circled around the art exhibition, Los Artistas Magos, or The Artist Magicians, Dec. Collaborative painting created for the exhibition by Osmany Soler, Joel Jover and James K-M. We dedicate this site to all the good people and places we connected with while visiting Cuba from Canada, with special thanks to Joe Clare, patron of the arts and humanity.

The Digitalis Digital Art Society was located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Between 2001 and 2005, we mounted five international group exhibitions in the Vancouver area which included digital print artists from the United States, Germany, Austria, Spain, Israel, Italy, Hungary, Argentina, England, Chile, Cuba, Mexico, New Zealand and across Canada. All exhibitions were curated by James K-M.

Shamcher was the oldest civil servant in the US, when he finally retired at 80 to work on OTEC, returning to the U of California Richmond Field Station as emeritus. Below is the article written at the time of his retirement. Before coming to Keyport in 1961, he worked at the University of California, Boeing, and North American Aviation.
