The Right to Remain Silent. In the aftermath of our presidential election, I labored to understand Republican silence. It is conspicuous and pervasive. It endures even now, almost two months later. On social media, my liberal and Democrat friends were loud and inconsolable.

Some words that I done wrote. His phone buzzed and as usual, his life stopped. As if dead he stood there and reached into his pockets, no thoughts, no wishes, no desires, no inclinations, nothing whatsoever went through his head as he did this.
