My experience in the Mass Communication department has been a great and highly educational one so far. When you first look at journalism, or any other discipline in the news business it can at first appear daunting . From the outside looking in it is something you are not sure you can really do. If you have dreams of being in the news business the best thing you can do is try, and listen to feedback from those who have been there. Learning to write for news.

For the last two years I have been studying communication at the University of Utah, wanting to succeed in the ski industry. Between full-time student and full-time barista; I still have found time to enjoy the outdoors.

As the semesters slowly but surely rolled by I started to notice a subtle change in my attitude towards writing in general. It was a feeling just short of passion but more than necessity. I felt my ability to communicate was enhanced and much more sufficient than the simple words I muttered.
