A 21st Century hominid keeps moving. Sunday, June 13, 2010. I was almost to Montana when I finally found myself alone with the earth. Here were bare rock, wild grass, gunmetal rivers. Red dirt showed on the paths cut through the sagebrush. I turned off the radio. My own mind fell silent, and I drove on.
