January 6, 2014. I was inspired recently to look back through my old journals from when I first arrived in my community in the Peace Corps. I was only beginning to grasp the complexity of community dynamics within the first four months of living in Chichica. It is amusing now, three years later, to reflect on how my perspective evolved and how in some ways it is exactly the same as these first moments in site. Who am I and what am I doing here?
