Domingo, 11 de mayo de 2014. Es un puente diseñado por el arquitecto Santiago Calatrava. Fué inaugurado en 1991, y cuenta con 480 metros sobre el río Guadiana a su paso por Mérida. Junto a él se encuentran varias consejerías de la Junta de Extremadura en el edificio y área arqueológica de Morerías, ubicadas en la margen derecha y la Biblioteca Pública del Estado, la Estación de Autobuses y el Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones de Mérida en la margen izquierda.
