My Summary of Learning for ECI 833. With this being my 3rd class with Alec, I always know what to expect. I also like to explore new tools in education when it comes time to do my summary of learning. This class is no different. I decided to use an app called WriteReader. I comes with high praises from Common SenseMedia.

After great contemplation, I decided to try PowToon. As my presentation tool for my final summary. To complete the voice recording for PowToon. While PowToon has its own voice recording available, audacity provides a much clearer sound and better quality. I will show this presentation tool to my students this week as I think they will love it.

Stop, Drop and Unplug? June 22, 2016. This last debate of the class was arguing the fact that we have become too dependent on technology and the fact that we need to unplug.

My adventures in blogging, learning social media, and growing as a student and teacher in our technological 21st century. My name is Elizabeth Therrien, and I am a French Immersion teacher at Campbell Collegiate. Currently, I am teaching Math 9, Social Studies 10, and Social Studies 30.

Monday, 10 April 2017. This course has been interesting. I found that working collaboratively in a group was very positive for me. Having amazing colleagues that are all driven and willing to put in a little extra helped me push through the hard parts of the semester. For the finishing touches of our final project we met and discussed the thorough feedback we received from our peers. Again it has been a pleasure to be a part of an amazing learn.

I believe the final debate of We have become too dependent on technology and what we really need is to unplug. So unplug from technology? Nope but we can take the time to enjoy the company of others and have face to face interactions. We need to embrace it and learn to accept that these are part of our lives.
