In the build up to Christmas, and in some cases when the leaves were still on the trees, I was asked to capture images of much loved pets. As these images were being printed and framed and given as Christmas presents I could not share them with you until now. O o o O o o o . Based in her studio in Bath, Somerset, Joanne Cope works in oil on canvas and is well known for her dramatic depiction of cattle and other animals. Joanne has specialized in painting cattle for nearly a decade. She began her career as a graphic artist and her paintings now benefit from uncomplicated yet striking compositions as a result. Most of her cattle are painted as close to life size as possible, to fully communicate their strength, beauty and raw power.
