Nos dias 13-14 e 15 de Novembro de 2010, foi realizado o Acamel, um acampamento da Tropa Escoteira na Ilha do Mel. As patrulhas foram misturadas e surgiram duas embarcações, a Pérola Negra e Holandes Voador. Ao amanhecer, acordamos e fomos visitar o forte, vimos as celas, canhões e trincheiras.
