I guess this year is a little better. I STILL struggle with depression and hurt. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,. God, create a pure heart in me, and renew a right attitude within me. And those stupid buts are bringing me down. Happy season of thanks-giving and joy, everyone! August 11, 2015.

My thoughts on the weekly readings. Many other examples could be found. God does not favor the lowly because they are lowly. He does not favor the poor because they are poor. God has an entirely different way of judging people than we do. Some might say that this is a matter of semantics, an unimportant distinction. I do not believe this is the case.

Ten minutes after waking, the OCD thoughts started coming. With the OCD thoughts came waves of anxiety. They washed over me and subsided for a few seconds, washed over me again and then subsided. I will survive the emotions that OCD brings to my life.
