This week in reception we have been looking at changes in liquids. We investigated how we could move coloured water from one cup to another by using kitchen roll and we observed the changes in the colours as they mixed together. We were very clever as we predicted that mixing blue and red together would make purple. Why not start by telling us if your child can count to 20, can ride a two wheeled bike, or has just successfully managed to fasten their own coat! Could we.
At the start of the week the children were set 5 challenges-. To eat a healthy breakfast every day. To eat 5 portions of fruit and vegetables each day. To drink plenty of water.
2 of the boys joined in with Year 2 to do some excellent art work for the display in the hall. The children joined in with Year 4 to perform to the rest of the school. The children had great fun trying out our new sensory sand. They built some excellent sculptures. It was to wet to go to the beach so we brought the beach to us. Year 3 and 4 ESFA Football Tournament. On Tuesday the 15th of March we took our Year 3 and 4 football team to Gosforth Academy to participate in the Newcastle ESFA tournament. All the boys tried their best and did our school proud! They had not played together as a team before but still managed to give a great account of themselves.
