My design adheres to a surface active structural skin that forms the cladding of the building. It is this system that provides a visual coherence between the building and its various functional spaces. The formal arrangement of these masses however emulate a disjunction between spaces as a transition is made from an urban condition to the beach.

Specifically the studio will hone in on the development proposal for a new Life Saving club to be located where the current Carrum Life Saving Club exists.

All curent and new studies have been moved to my squarespace blog under the same username as I have now. What I will look at is the idea of personal space. How that changes when you travel from urban areas to the beach and indeed from beach to beach.
