Lynnbooth Travel Blog 2008 Hong Kong, France to the USA. Friday, August 22, 2008. The end is nigh; almost home. We took a side trip to Mt St Helens, Mt Rainier and Seattle during the week in Portland. The travel up in the Mustang was smooth and the drive through the National Monument parks was lovely, with timber of pine and spruce, river beds carved by massive spring floods carrying loads of white stones and pretty waterfalls.
