Wilfredo Lam was born of Chinese and Cuban decent and raised in Cuba. In his pieces he uses polymorphism to meld aspects of humans, plants and animals to create hybrid creatures. Cudjoe was born in 1971 in Takoradi, Ghana. He graduated from Ghanatta in 1996 and has been creating masterpieces since then. Cudjoe uses vibrant colors and energy in his artwork that really draws the viewer in. The piece I have selected is, The Two Fridas.

It translates roughly to floating world meaning the fleeting moments of beauty to be enjoyed as opposed to the banal everyday humdrum of life. The style depicted traditional Japanese scenes.
