The Haunted Quilt

A celebration of home made things but especially quilts and wool. Saturday, 13 June 2015. Although 2015 is mostly the year of the handmade clothes, I snuck this one in over the winter and spring. This is a Thimble version of Whistlebare Yarns Daisy Scarf or Snood. And I HIGHLY recommend it. The yarn choices are so delicious that it is very hard to choose just one colour. And another one in silver. There are 2 pattern variations.

Thursday, November 26, 2015. This morning I see many Thanksgiving posts on Facebook. It gives me pause this morning. Am I grateful that my mom survived a difficult brain surgery? That now in addition to the above she has cognitive and speech difficulties as a side affect of the surgery? And of course she still cannot swallow.
