Today we were working on pattern cutting and adjusting patterns to meet our design goals for our mini collections for the class Visual and Contextual studies. The Thursday morning class is Studio Practice and Production, which Julie helps us work out what to do and how to do it with our sewing and pattern cutting. I left the class frustrated with an incomplete pattern block and an even bigger misunderstanding of adjusting blocks.

5 years, 3 months ago. 1 I used a pencil to sketch up my design, fineliner to outline and Tria markers fill and shade my fashion illustrations for Cool Brit and WBL evening wear. 2 I felt like all of my designs were succesful and turned out really well. I have just got back from a short trip to London with college. Managed to go to the Saatchi, V and A, national portrait gallery and Tate Britain. I also need to crate my own agancy name in order to present it professionally.

I did some work on my bodice top cause it did not look right so Annabel helped me sort it out with pinning extra fabric to remove and adding seam allowance and adding width on the bottom of the fabric as it was laying tight. So I did and fixed this and was pretty easy to do even though I had never down this before.
