Our community mates, Michael and Susan, plus our friend Gerry, helped us with our final load last night, then gathered at the table with us for our first meal here, one that Michael and Susan lovingly prepared. After years of dreaming of life in community, Eric and I took a leap of faith this summer, left our church positions, and moved our little family into Portland, jumping with both feet into the uncertain water. On a temporary basis, we moved in the 18th Avenue Peace House. Downtown Portland is just over those trees. 2nd floor landing and office.

Monday, April 1, 2013. Daddy was drawing with a wax crayon on his egg. Once you drew on it, the dye would not cover that spot. We let you draw on a couple of them and they were mostly just scribbles. Daddy was getting the dye ready. I have to bribe you to smile. This is one of the eggs that you colored.
