Ascutney State Park, June 17th to 19th. For the second trip of the year, we made our way to the Connecticut River Valley, Ascutney State Park in Brownsville in particular. Still, the first thing we did on arrival was sling a tarp from the lean-to in case of rain.
October 10, 2010 by alexbclay. From the moment I walked through the door, my house was definitely the same familiar place, but everything smelled like the indoors. Explosively unpacking my pack changed that a little, but not much. Even now, hours later, I catch known but strange scents as I walk around the house. We took a break at the shelter to rest and read the log book.
