When the other two were up and going I was not there. When I could finally focus on the task they were not there and the task could not be completed because of the incapability of timely communicating.

Now the FDOL has come to an end for me. I really would have wanted to continue for three more weeks. However, since I participate in the course on my own private time it is too much. Maybe if I can breathe for a while, and then continue the next semester. I have learned a lot! I have met a lot of wonderful people online who have shared their knowledge and experience without hesitating. Fantastic! Me, myself, I certainly need more time to explore open educational resources.

I present one aspect here because I am thinking that this is where I might be able to introduce some ideas of FDOL. How could you open-up your practice? March 16, 2014.

Concluding week ONL future perspectives. This ONL course has been very interesting and inspiring for me. I think, however, the most important thing that I have learnt during this course is the difficulties with group work within this kind of open courses. I have already written about this previously in one of my blog posts. Topic 5 Open Educational Practices.

Looking back on my reflections I realize that even though I have learned a lot, working on the different topics of digital literacy, online collaboration, open educational practices and so on by reading I believe the overall course experience by itself stands for a large part of fueling my learning processes. When we started the course I reflected with the help of the media wheel. On the many tools that are available in order to support our learning experiences.

Thoughts of an historian at Lund University, Sweden. So, what has become of me already after this experience? Or different metacognitive writing assignments during classes. When I teach at campus courses I nearly always include a lecturing part.

For future versions of this course I suggest devoting more time at the beginning to become more familiar with the tools and course content and also to give more time to some of the topics. Perhaps they could be spread out into one and a half weeks rather than one week, since it was often hard to keep up with the pace of the course in addition to the normal research and teaching workload.
