The Legend of the Short Gut Wonder! She was born at 27 weeks, 2lbs 11oz and the former donor of TTTS. She now has short bowel syndrome, but at 18 months old was no longer TPN dependant, tolerates full tube feeds and does NOT need a bowel transplant! She still has challenges ahead, but with her sunny disposistion and healthy immune system, I know she will continue to amaze the doctors and defy the odds! Thursday, September 1, 2011.
