Blog documenting the projects and experiences of Foundations. For me, its always been nerve-wracking to be watched, on stage, in any sort of spotlight, as an artist I am subject to criticism wether wanted or not, and so I opened myself up to this even more than before; with this performance.
My final piece was created in collaboration with the artist Lenka Clayton. Her work is designed around interactions with society and communities. She collects physical information from her interactions and organises it into precise and beautiful compositions. I created a collection of found and donated objects. I originally wanted the collection to only be made up of o.
The Workings of My Mind. This is when I discovered how much memorizing songs has helped me. It followed the theme of water.
For our final project we made our own paper and then carved out these rubber blocks to make stamps. This personally was my favorite project in this class I think that it was a lot of fun and I feel like a learned something! Plus, the weather was spectacular and everyone was dying to do some sort of outdoor activity. Here is our final video to show our entire teaching process from Zine, to teaching, to public space.
