The purpose of the guild is to contribute to the growth and knowledge of quilting techniques, patterns, history and quilt making by providing educational meetings, fun and fellowship. Lakeside Quilting Guild members gathered on June 14 to hear a presentation by guild member and artist Dorothy Burge who specializes in African- and social justice-themed quilt pieces. Dorothy presented a slide show of some of her work, as well as providing several other pieces for display.
